SA RA GOVINDU AT `BELLI HEJJE`

The affection on Sa Ra Govindu by his colleagues in Kannada cinema industry was evident as bigwigs attended his ‘Belli Hejje’ at his home town in KR Nagar on last Friday evening. Sa Ra Govindu in the midst of his address turned emotional remembering his wife.

Strong in his mindset and very decisive on his ideas Sa Ra Govindu has reiterated his stand on ‘Dubbing’. I would not allow it. The principles and guidelines of Dr Rajakumar has to be imbibed and followed he emphasized on detractors.

A Kannada activist with over three decades of stint, Sa Ra Govindu well known producer in the capacity of KFCC chief making such a point needs guts. He has used it with strong presence of mind. I would further strengthen the screening committee to trace the dubbed films he emphasized for thunderous applaud.

Sa Ra Govindu was speaking at Dr Rajakumar Samskrithika Sabhangana. The ‘Belli Hejje’ was organized by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.

Dr Rajakumar was front runner in curbing the dubbing to Kannada. As his fan and admirer it is my duty to follow his footsteps. I had once given resignation for KFCC secretary post in this protest against dubbing. As KFCC President today, I have huge support from Kannadigas and literary personalities.

Other highlights of Sa Ra Govindu at ‘Belli Hejje’:

 ·        We have intentions of releasing Kannada films in other states. KCA has discussed with Tamil Nadu Film Chamber of Commerce on this issue.

·        I would not stop protecting the Kannada Nadu. I would indulge in case of problems till I have strength.

·        I have introduced my son Anoop this Kannada cinema industry.

·        I am 60 years today. I am not behind money. The protest what I make is my individual decision.

·        I was invited to MLC post by the then chief minister Ramakrishna Hegde. It would disturb my nature of protest – I declined the offer.

·        I don’t want to enter from backdoor. I always come straight in my opinion. So electing to any position is front door.

At the Belle Hejje of Sa Ra Govindu the chairman of KCA SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Dr Jayamala, KFPA President Munirathna, director S Narayan, MLA Sa Ra Mahesh were present. Sa Ra Govindu was also felicitated on this occasion.
